“The Elephant Six Guitar”

The “Elephant 6” guitar was custom designed down to the very last detail.  For environmental conscience, only domestic woods were used.  A hand rubbed oil finish was applied for the same reasons, as well as to give the instrument a softer, smoother feel and improved tonality.

Part of creating a guitar, especially a totem-themed guitar, is fashioning the life and soul into it in such a way that it has a special relationship with its owner.  Robert’s music was playing throughout construction so that when the two met, they were already family.  The guitar knows Robert, and was well acquainted with his music, style, and feel, before the two of them ever laid eyes on one another.
